Obsidiana Magazine 005. Alexis Landín

Alexis Landín was born in Mexico City in 1997, the son of parents from Oaxaca and Colonia Morelos, one of the most intense and symbolic territories in the heart of the capital. He grew up surrounded by Mexican muralist culture, where survival, class struggle, and social tension are inscribed on the walls as part of the city's collective memory.

Influenced by this urban and popular imagery, Landín developed a gaze deeply linked to the experience of the street and the nightlife of Mexico City. His work explores human fragility, desire, everyday violence, and the intimacy that emerges within a contemporary Mexican reality.
